Abrasipa Industria de Abrasivos was founded in 1960. Its existence coincides with the development of the automobile industry in Brazil and consequently the demand for grinding wheels and abrasives.
Ever since its foundation, amongst its main items are honing stones for engines and rubber bonded discs for card clothing.
In the 1970s’ metalographic cut-off wheels of great performance, grinding and regulating wheels for “Centerless” machines were included to its line of products.
In 1980, it began to manufacture glass-polishing products. Throughout the last few years, it became leader in Brazil in this segment, manufacturing products for all types of straight line peripheral and cup wheel edger’s, bevellers and all kinds of polishing machines, among other grinding wheels for the glass industry.
Aside from the Brazilian market, it also attends companies and distributors in Latin America, Europe, United States and Canada.
